Most of our Astrologers predict the results of transit result based on the placement from the position of Moon at the time of birth, which is infantile and a shallow method unfortunately. But oOur ancient astrologers were aware of the absurdity of judging the effects of transit only based on the Moon sign. They preached the different methods of predictions even for the persons born under the same Moon-sign (rasi) or same Star (nakshatra) by considering the difference in Lagna (rising sign) and the distance of planets from the Lagna. This system of precisely predicting the influence of planets is called Ashṭakavarga system.
